Description
A one-of-a-kind art installation table by Argentine artist Silvia Stein, where functional furniture meets sculpture. A round, clear glass top rests on a brushed stainless steel pedestal and weighted disc base. At its center sits a built-in rotating "lazy Susan" with a shimmering speckled stone-look surface, making it easy to share dishes around the table.
The table's signature element is a hand-formed pewter figure perched at the edge of the glass. Her stylized female form rests on a weathered wood block, and her elongated body sweeps down into a hook that curls beneath the glass edge. She sits with her gaze turned away from the table, out toward the room, a quiet, contemplative presence that gives the piece its character. The artist's signature appears on the wood block beneath the figure.
The clean modernist lines of glass and steel contrast with the raw, primitive quality of the figure and reclaimed wood. A fully functional table for a dining nook or breakfast area that doubles as a conversation piece.
