Capurso is a vibrant original watercolor by American artist Anita Blythe, painted circa 1969 and signed lower right. This charming still life depicts a bottle of vintage Capurso Valpolicella wine dated 1969, flanked by a glass goblet and lush clusters of grapes, all set against a rich, warm red background. The composition captures a nostalgic Italian elegance with playful, folk-inspired detailing that celebrates the art of everyday pleasures.

This piece pairs beautifully with Fruta e Vino-another rare watercolor by Blythe from the same period-offering collectors a unique glimpse into the formative years of her artistic journey.

Professionally framed with a soft white-washed pine moulding, the piece is presented under glass with a double mat that complements the artwork's warm tones. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

About the Artist: Anita Blythe
Born in 1956, Anita Blythe is an American painter known for her expressive style and intuitive sense of form. Active since the 1970s, she developed her artistic voice through independent study, producing works that balance bold color with an appreciation for everyday beauty.

Though it is rare that Blythe painted in watercolor, early pieces like Capurso(circa 1969) offer a glimpse into her exploratory beginnings.
