A hand-painted and hand-potted porcelain water dropper, crafted in Korea during the Joseon Dynasty. It features a mountain river design with boats, mountains, and a village. The piece has acquired a very soft feel over time and through use.

The water dropper would have been utilized by a scholarly gentleman for calligraphy. It is a slab-constructed porcelain rectangle with two holes designed for dispensing water. The dropper is decorated with deep cobalt blue landscape scenes, characterized by good detail despite being painted quickly. The piece exudes a very soft texture and exhibits some crackling in the glaze. It rests on four shallow corner feet.
