Original watercolor on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts a dramatic architectural study of a historic stone building in Grazzo, Italy, rendered in a bold, high contrast expressionist style. Signed at the bottom left and dated 1970.
The sheet measures approximately 12.1/4'' X 8.1/4''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with scattered foxing. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch's mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
