[removed]
1158. Morlock spy stunt head, hero mechanical hunter Morlock skull from The Time Machine and test head from Planet of the Apes. (Warner Bros., 2002) This is a foam latex overhead mask of the future human. There is mesh in the cheeks for clear vision and the figure is still in good shape. Includes a screen-used hero mechanical Hunter Morlock skull which has had the skin removed, as well as the servo motors, but most of the motion planes such as brows, lips and jaw are still in place. The epoxy and glass structure are intact and some of the other fabrication elements are still attached. This Planet of the Apes test head is a unique piece of Stan Winston Studio history. Before Tim Burton became involved with the 2001 remake of the classic film, Chris Columbus was the slated director. Stan, and his artists, created test make-ups, mechanics, and developed several character studies for his approval. This is one of the few pieces that remain from that development effort. Made of two different urethanes it will last for a long time before it begins to deteriorate. $1,500 - $2,000
