626. Dormouse puppet from Alice in Wonderland. (Lou Bunin Productions, 1949) The Dormouse puppet is featured in a musical number with Alice in the "Flood of Tears" sequence and later appears as part of the Caucus and Jury. Constructed of Bunin's own rubberized foam compound for the flexible skin over a special wrapped wire armature. The skin remains quite pliable, wears a collar and black bow tie and the entire puppet is hand-painted with impressive detail. Measures 6 in. tall. Exhibits minor cracking and wear; otherwise, remarkable condition for its age.
