David Stoupakis is a self-taught artist who lives in New York City. His parents were proud and very supportive of his interest in the arts at a young age, however his new-found artistic ability concerned his teachers. On several occasions David's "gloomy" drawings were the subject at teacher-parent meetings. A few years later, a wild art teacher entered David's life and encouraged him, opened his mind and drove him to experiment. Within that year, David made the choice to dedicate himself to his artwork and has been a successful painter ever since. ***Note*** This guitar was painted and clear-coated to create a one-of-a-kind, playable piece of music/art memorabilia. You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind guitar personally decorated and/or autographed by the artist. This artist-customized guitar is a modified version of the FenderŪ Standard Series StratocasterŪ. It has been modified in that it has no pick guard, in order to maximize the artist's canvas. This guitar is one of 60 ever made by FenderŪ at FenderŪ Ensenada, the FenderŪ Mexico manufacturing facility. 100% of the proceeds go to Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit that restores and revitalizes music programs in underfunded public schools nationwide.
