MADRID – The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza presents Picasso/Chanel now through January 15, 2023. The exhibition explores the relationship between these two creative geniuses of the 20th century. Structured into four principal sections, it follows a chronological order approximately spanning the decade between 1915 and 1925.

PHILADELPHIA — In back-to-back auctions this month, Freeman’s presents a distinguished collection of 20th-century furniture and design and modern and contemporary painting, sculpture and works on paper by the likes of George Nakashima, Pablo Picasso, Tiffany Studios, Roy Lichtenstein and Lynn Chadwick.

MADRID (AP) – Against the backdrop of Picasso’s iconic anti-war painting, Guernica, the culture ministers of France and Spain gathered earlier this month in Madrid’s Reina Sofia Museum to kick off a year of commemorative acts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the death of the Spanish artist who revolutionized the world of art. In Picasso Celebration, France and Spain will be organizing more than 40 exhibitions, conferences and events in museums in Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, Malaga and other cities in Europe and North America during the next 12 months.

PASADENA, Calif. — The Norton Simon Museum is delighted to present Picasso Ingres: Face to Face, an exhibition that brings together two extraordinary, interrelated paintings for the first time: Pablo Picasso’s Woman with a Book (1932) and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’s Madame Moitessier (1856). A partnership between the Norton Simon Museum and the National Gallery, London, this exhibition explores Picasso’s long-standing fascination with Ingres and the generative process that resulted from his confrontation with a celebrated work of art. It will be on view at the Norton Simon Museum from October 21 to January 30, 2023.
