GLEN COVE, N.Y. – Roland Auctions NY kicked off the New Year in style. The company’s January 1 sale turned out to be its highest-grossing single-day, and highest-grossing per lot, auction of the past year. The auction lineup featured selections from multiple estates with a spotlight on the collection of a socialite from European nobility who had properties at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan and in Lloyd Harbor, Long Island. The collection offered everything from Louis XIV to mid-century Modern, along with art, silver, jewelry and decorative items.
