NORTHEASTERN DECORATED STONEWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each approximately one-gallon capacity, comprising a jug, stamped "L. NORTON & SON", ovoid form with strap handle featuring brushed manganese vertical flower decoration to front, and a wide-mouth crock with flat-top rim, applied arched handles, and Albany-slip glazed interior, with brushed cobalt vertical flower to one side. Luman and Julius Norton, Bennington, VT; and other. 19th century. Jug 11 1/8" HOA, crock 8 1/2" H, 7 5/8" D rim.
Undamaged except crock having minute flake to underside of one handle.
