President Chester Arthur Signed Certificate Appointing Charles H. Crane, 13th Surgeon General of The United States Army (1882 - 1883). Crane was one of the attending physicians with Abraham Lincoln at his death. The document is signed President , "Chester A. Arthur," and by, "Robert Todd Lincoln," Secretary of War. July 3rd, 1882. Visible document measures 14 7/8" X 18 3/4". Frame measures approx. 16 3/4" X 20 1/4". From the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune. Condition- Document has some toning and spots. Overall good condition. See photos.
