Description
THOMAS CHANDLER (1810-1854), EDGEFIELD, SOUTH CAROLINA DECORATED STONEWARE JUG, alkaline-glazed, approximately one-half gallon capacity, beehive form with ringed mouth and applied strap handle. Brown slip-trailed draped lines with loops decoration to shoulder. Thomas Chandler Pottery or Trapp and Chandler Pottery, Edgefield District, SC. Mid 19th century. 8 5/8" HOA.
