A hand-carved greenstone axe god figure in a squat, abstract form with soft string-cut grooves indicating the limbs and head. Scholars posit that axe god figures were repurposed from damaged, discarded, or otherwise unusable stone axe heads. Size: 4.5" L x 2" W (11.4 cm x 5.1 cm)
