Provenance: Cotton Ruby Mckim birds quilt, all hand embroidered and hand quilted, with the name "Johny Lew" and date "1932" in one central block. There are straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at an even 9-10 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is a navy blue and white plaid fabric, and the batting is thin. The quilt was made by Mrs. Apphia E. Henize of Felicity, Ohio.
