Partial-printed DS, 1p on vellum, measuring 9.5" x 15.5", Washington, D.C., dated February 20, 1812. A document granting one Jacob Alspach Jr. of Fairfield County, Ohio "?the North East quarter of section number ten, of Township number Fourteen, in Range number Twenty of the lands directed to be sold as Chillicothe?". Signed below by the President as "James Madison" and countersigned by Secretary of State James Monroe as "Jas. Monroe". Featuring an intact seal of the United States at lower left. Scattered foxing around perimeter, with expected creasing, folding, and age toning throughout. Light docketing verso. A very good example overall.
