Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919 - 1980) - a personal visor capFine khaki-coloured cloth, black piping, on the forehead a cockade enamelled in green, white and red, surrounded by embroidered golden wreaths on black cloth. Black chinstrap on gilt buttons with lion symbol and crown. Black visor of synthetic material. White silk lining with maker’s mark "Hückel Zephir". The light brown leather sweatband stamped "Imported by J. Blach & Sons Birmingham" in gold. A few unobtrusive moth holes, slight traces of wear and age.Mohammad Reza Pahlavi came from the ruling Pahlavi dynasty and was the last Iranian Shah. He wore this military cap of the imperial Iranian ground forces during several state occasions in the 1950s and 1960s, as numerous photographs show. The distinctive insignia of the cap were exclusively reserved for the monarch, who was the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Iranian Army.Provenance: Document of provenance and photographs of wearer (printouts) are enclosed.Condition: II +
