Description
A czapka for officers in the Uhlan Regiment King Karl (1st Württemberg) No. 19, circa 1910The body made of black patent leather with attached front visor, complete with all fittings. The Württemberg escutcheon screw-mounted on the front (one nut is missing). Convex, gilt chinscales on rosettes, the Reich cockade on the right. Red parade rabatt, the silver round cord interwoven in red and black. The Württemberg field insignia in superb officer's issue, behind which the parade plume in red, black and white buffalo hair is inserted. Ochre-coloured leather sweatband and matching coloured pale silk rep lining. An old paper label in the skull reads "Oekonomie Kunstinstitut ... Berlin" with the size "56". Signs of age and wear. A rare find in beautiful condition.Condition: II
