HERMANN GORING
(1893 - 1946) German politician who began his career as an ace in World War I, rose to become Hitler's right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe, finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Fine pair of items, includes an unusual D.S., 2pp. large 4to., Berlin, Mar. 24, 1937, the promotion of Karl Burmann to the rank of captain in the Luftwaffe, boldly signed at conclusion. Sold with an excellent 10 3/4" x 14" hand-drawn and colored pair of German banners and poles captioned "Everything for Germany's Honor and Germany's Greatness", presented by Flakregiment 23, Sep. 14, 1936. Very good to fine.
