Item Details

Description

Two late 19th to early 20th century 18ct gold gem-set rings. Each designed as a circular-shape ruby and red-gem, old-cut diamond and colourless paste five-stone tapered panel ring. One with maker's marks for Deakin & Francis. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1890 and 1912. Weight 4.5gms.

Condition

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing/alteration to the bands. Some replacement gemstones and pastes, including two replacement colourless pastes. Gemstones have fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair condition with nicks and nibbles. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Estimated total diamond weight 0.08ct. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. One diamond chipped. Ring size O and L1/2. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
