Leaves Out Important Info on condition of Item
So the condition statement did not bother to mention some wood rot on one of the legs, or that a bolt was missing or there are stains on the fabric on both ends of the foot and headboard fabric. Sort of Deceptive don’t you think?

Undisclosed Damage is Their Policy
I understand and understood that the auction has a damage disclaiming policy that they use on only SOME items. My item arrived severely dented and will need professional repair. I can understand why auctions may choose not to disclose damage. Be aware that this auction house may sell a clearly damaged item with no disclosure and photographs that do not clearly show damage. New Orleans Auction Galleries (NOAG) is an outlier in the auction business in this regard and I can speak confidently of this having worked with hundreds of auction houses over the past 20 years as a professional antiques dealer. I did call them and spoke to them about the issue. They took no responsibility, offered no remedy, and stated that running a damaged item and providing no disclosure is their policy and a "judgment call". It's a shame as it was my first experience with them and they seem to get some good items.

New Orleans Auction Galleries was great to work with, before and after the auction. They were very responsive with questions about the item, coordinating pick-up and payment. PLUS they present wonderful items in their auctions. Definitely highly recommend!

Top notch, one of the best New Orleans Auction houses.
These guys are the best and care about their clients, both buyers and consignors. Very quick to respond and take care of any issue that may arise. Not all NOLA auction houses are the same and I would avoid some of their completion like Crescent City Auction Gallery, who have a very different approach than this Auction House.

Picture Item Condition
Only issue was that a picture of the marble on the table was not shown from above. The marble had several cracks that had been repaired in the past, and not a very well done. In my opinion it should have been shown in the picture and also noted in the description.

Accurate descriptions on quality items by an excellent auction house
The title above pretty much sums up our experience I was able to obtain all the pre purchase photos and information required to understand the purchase. The description and photos were accurate, pick up was organized and helpful and the Auction House was easy to deal with. We hope to purchase again in the future.

Reliable and Trustworthy
This is our first time dealing with NOAG. Their photos were totally accurate, and their item description was totally accurate. We picked up our furniture in person and needed time to pack it carefully for transport. They could not have been more helpful in providing us the space we needed to pack the furniture and assistance in loading it in our trailer. They get a ten-out-of-ten rating from us!
