TRYING TO GET MY ITEMS SHIPPED ITS BEEN 5 DAYS AFTER PAYING AND STILL CANT GET A STRAIT ANSWER FROM THEM, THEY ARE NOT HELPFULL AT ALL, ALL DAY SAY IS I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY TURN, THEY SOLD 400 ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 EMAILS AND 5 PHONE CALLS NO RESPONSE STRAIT FORWARD ANSWER TO WHEN I WILL GET MY INVOPICE, DONT EVEN HAVE AN SHIPPING INVOICE FOR MY ORDER YET, IMAGINE HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE FOR THEM TO SHIP, THEY SAY I CAN CHOOSE MY OWN SHIPPER SERVICES BUT THEY DONTEVEN HAVE THE SHIPPERS LIST THAT THEY CAN SUGGEST!!! BAD AFTER SALES MANAGEMENT WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

The item accuracy was spot on, & they made the necessary arrangements for me to pick up my item during the holidays, when staff was limited, which was greatly appreciated, especially when my item was a Christmas gift. I was so excited to win an item that was advertised as being in my hometown. Considerably reducing potential shipping costs. When I won the item I was informed it was actually based in Los Angeles and thus the shipping costs would be nearly $1000. More than the cost of the item itself. Juliens informed me it was Live Auctioneers mistake, which didn’t make sense as it was advertised for several weeks prior to the auction and would someone from Julian’s not check the listings? When I contacted LA they were also unhelpful and told me to contact Julian’s. So it was a case of passing the blame while I was left to pay the substantial unexpected shipping.

They undoubtely have a great catalog, however, their lack of communcation was offensive. They didn't ship for so long until I reached out to them asking why and then they charged me a ridiculous amount as the shipping cost. I see other reviews saying the same thing. I should have looked first.

Was treated horribly. Received one of the chairs with broken back. Julien's photos revealed no such damaged. I was essentially called a liar with a bad attitude. Thank goodness the shipper had taken photos prior to packaging which showed the damage when they received the chair. Obviously somewhere along the line Juliens's damaged the chair. Paid $1500 to ship for essentially one good chair. To be fair I did purchase again from the Auction House and that purchase was fine.

I was able to pick up a beautiful, rare lamp I purchased at the storage facility for the auction house. I made an appointment with them, which was easy to do, and met with very helpful staff-fully masked-who met me on time as scheduled, had wrapped the lamp carefully, placed it in a large box, and carried it to out my car. First class service! Thanks so much.

I received this large framed artwork with the glass broken in several places. The worst shipping ever.

Especially with credit card fees which are simply wrong and simply charged. Even if questions come up none were answered.

Although shipping took as long as they said it would, about 2 weeks, it would have been nice to get it sooner. Yes I did call and ask, but they couldn’t get it out any faster. Nonetheless, friendly staff, efficient auction and interesting items. Juliens has turned out to be one of my favorite houses which I have won a few items and always satisfied.

The description and photos were accurate to a "T". There was no doubt in what I was bidding on. Everything from start to finish, went smoothly. The packing of these items for shipment couldn't have been more professionally done. Thank You for some awesome pieces and a Great shopping experience. I look forward to doing business with you again.

Not the cheapest... but you get rare items which command the prices they deserve.

So my story is not too complicated on how things transpired. I am certainly going to be fair and as accurate as I can be-seeing that this happened a few months ago. It was an auction that contained high value vintage, sports, and movie memorabilia from a large estate. Very high end collection. I own a retail company that has a selection of vintage items that are on the more pristine (NOS) and hard to find side of the business. Ultimately they end up in designers, collectors, or Hollywood hands. I say this to give foundation that this is not my first rodeo. I deal with private collectors and auction houses from here in NYC to Japan, France, England, wherever. During the auction, there came an item-a ball cap to be specific-that was of interest to me. It would be only thing I ended up purchasing in the end. My first problem was when I went to bid on Liveauctioneers. I clicked on place bid when it was $25, but as soon as I did that, someone else must have done the same because my bid ended up as a $50 submission. Fair enough. Thats the way it rolls sometimes. I called them and told them what had happened but they were pretty unaccommodating and told me to pay. I wasn't looking for any argument, so I said that I would pay of course, but if they could keep it and list it in another auction that would be okay too. They said no due to it being in the auction as part of a collection, and that solo, it would not have a place in their auction house. I completely understand that as well. Seeing that it is just a ball cap, albeit a rarer one. This is where inlays the rub. I asked them what it would be to ship it and they quoted me $98.00. $98.00 to ship a 10oz baseball cap from CA to NY. $98.00 for something that could fit in a USPS, UPS, FedEx, box or shipping bag for $11 dollars and some change. This is abhorrent in all ventures of the word. I understand shipping from auction houses and how it works. This should have been no more than $20-30 at most.

Julien's Auction was available for questioning, they have fabulous items, descriptions are accurate, easy checkout options-I would have given them a 5 plus rating and would bid on so many more items but unfortunately I will never bid on any of their auctions again. The shipping options are a disgrace-They are worse than robbery-I am all for people making a profit-But charging more than the cost of the item and not shipping for 2 weeks.-I could have shipped Fedex overnight for less. They made a bundle once but a good merchant would have priced fairly and had a customer forever and made a lot more in the long run.

Just ok

I bid and won a lot from them and it took more than two months to receive them and it cost as much to ship as it did for my lot. When I complained to the shipper, he did send my items right away but I would not bid with them again sorry to say.
