Bid on item and won. winning instructions were clear. Sign up for bidding was a breeze. Had a question and emailed them. They quickly responded. Was very pleased with the whole process, pleased with purchase. And due to this I will be bidding soon again. Did not find one issue that I was not pleased with, from initial set up, to bidding, paying for won item, to shipping. Every aspect was great. Thanks to all that made everything so smooth.

Item was damaged before it was shipped. There was no damage to shipping box.
It was a great item but the shipping dept drop it and bent the front bumper and broke the nozzle off the end of tower.

They will damage your item moving it improperly and not tell you about it.
I bought a $15, 000 antique oilfield engine that this auctioneer flopped over on its side. Bending the crank shaft. I was never told about it until I discovered all the dirt on the end of the crank shaft and rocker arm. I demanded an explanation. I was called and told not to pickup my items until Friday, then I was called on Wednesday morning and expected to come that day ahead of all the pickup times. Flywheel of engine was running 1” out of round. The attitude was it just fell over gently, no big deal. Movers walked all over engine once it was on its side. Boot prints were all over it when I picked it up. I was able to get $3000 refunded after having to speak with the owner. Movers need to learn how to handle antique engines before taking on anymore auctions that include them. This engine was the prize piece of this collection and it was treated like the runt!

Steve, you were offered a full refund, but you chose to keep the engine and we agreed on a 3000 refund, because if it would have been such a big problem you would have turned the engine away, but even you knew that the flywheels were likely already bent prior to purchase because that is the reason they got some of these great engines is because they were not useful in the oilfields anymore due to damage or something of the sort. As for the engine tipping over, it was mounted on some wooden blocks for display in the museum and after many years the blocks had rotted and when we went to move it the engine tipped off. The engine tipped off slowly and it would have not caused the flywheels or the crank to have been bent with how it fell. As for pickup, we got ready for loadout a day earlier than expected, so we called some of the bigger buyers and asked them if they wanted to come get the items out of the way, you were not demanded to come and pick your stuff up. As you said yourself you are so busy, you didn't even have time to check your phone, so kind of surprising you were able to make time to come and pick up some of your stuff so short notice. Also, not sure of anybody walking all over the engine and the foot marks that you speak of, this is the first time I have heard of that and did not see them when we looked over the engine with you. Also kind of strange that you waited over 3 months to write a bad review for something that was handled, but it just shows that you like stirring the pot or upsetting the apple cart once again.

enjoyed the auction. I was able to win 5 lots of things I like to collect. Shipping took longer than expected but when asking Dan responded within a few hours. Everything was wrapped professionally and received with no damage. I will be looking forward to the next auction.

GREAT assistance!
I was concerned about automatic payment and items being shipped before being able to establish the fact that I would be driving to auction site, paying cash and retrieving items. Not getting any response from "LiveAuctions" I DID receive a response from an incredible employee of Matthews LLC. She (i misplaced her name) was absolutely fantastic to work with and able to set my mind at ease making sure it would all work out.
