The Collected Library: Americana & Photography
Freeman's March Collected Library sale features over 300 lots of printed and manuscript americana, African americana early photography, presidential documents and ephemera, and much more. The photography collections of Dr. Joseph T. Pollock and David O'Reilly form the crux of the catalog but property from many different collector's is represented. The sale is led by a wonderful group of signed inaugural addresses of Franklin D. Roosevelt, a rare album of photographs from the 1936 Bohemian Grove Encampment, Presidential and political autographs from the collection of Lester Hyman, and American naval documents from the collection of Dr. James Milgram.
Important Jewelry
Freeman’s is pleased to present Important Jewelry on March 18, 2026, featuring exquisite diamonds, jewelry from Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Cartier, as well as collectible pieces from Chanel. The auction showcases property from a Prominent Chicago Family, various owners, and estates from across the country, including early 20th century jewelry by Georges L’Enfant and Lacloche, among others.
Collect: Post War & Contemporary Art
Freeman’s is pleased to present Collect: Post-War & Contemporary Art, the first in a new series celebrating the visionary voices that have shaped the post-war and contemporary art landscape. Bringing together paintings, prints, sculpture, and works on paper, the sale highlights the breadth of artistic experimentation that has shaped contemporary art. Highlights include works by leading figures of post-war abstraction and conceptual art, such as Sam Gilliam, Sam Francis, Carl Andre, and Lawrence Weiner, alongside innovative works by John Chamberlain, Bryan Hunt, Evan Penny and Jennifer Bartlett. With works spanning a variety of media, styles, and price points, the sale invites collectors to engage with artists who have defined modern visual culture, while discovering new pieces to live with and enjoy.
Women's Work
At a time when museums, collectors, and the broader art market are finally beginning to give women artists their due, Freeman’s is proud to present Women’s Work, an auction exclusively dedicated to the creative production of women artists across disciplines, highlighting the breadth and depth of their cultural impact. Taking place on Wednesday, March 25 at 10:00am ET, the auction includes work by Sonia Delaunay, Judith Rothschild, Fern Coppedge, Jane Piper and Clarice Cliff, to name a few.

The Fathers and Saviors of Our Country
Taking its title from the iconic Currier & Ives print depicting George Washington as the “Father" and Abraham Lincoln as the “Savior" of the nation, The Fathers and the Saviors of Our Country: A Presidential Sale brings together extraordinary artifacts that trace the arc of American leadership from the founding generation through the crucible of Civil War and beyond. At its heart are objects that illuminate the character, conviction, and consequence of the men who shaped the Republic—Founding Fathers who forged a new government from revolution, and Presidents who preserved, tested, and redefined it in moments of profound national trial. These figures were not only officeholders but architects of American identity, guiding the country through independence, expansion, division, and reunion. The sale features numerous works appearing for the first time at auction, including a previously unknown oil portrait of a beardless Abraham Lincoln by Charles Barry—an arresting likeness from the earliest period of his national ascent. Also offered is an autograph memorandum penned by Lincoln on September 22, 1862, the very day he delivered the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, a document that stands at the moral and constitutional turning point of the Civil War. Complementing these is a significant archive relating to John Wilkes Booth, whose assassination of President Lincoln on April 14, 1865, was the final, horrific trial of a nation already reeling from four years of war. Together, these materials form a powerful narrative of vision and sacrifice—of founders and preservers—presented in a landmark auction honoring the enduring legacy of America’s political leaders.

Freeman's is proud to announce our upcoming Asian Works of Art auction this March, featuring a curated selection of over 200 lots. Spanning from Chinese archaic jades of the Hongshan culture to 20th century masterworks, the sale presents a remarkable opportunity for collectors. Notable highlights include Chinese paintings and rare books from the Estate of General Han-Chien Chueh, Chinese silver jewelry from the RenLu Collection, and fine Chinese snuff bottles from the Estate of Dr. Thomas A. Klein, M.D., sold to benefit Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Very pleased with Cincinnati location.
The Cincinnati location is top drawer. The young lady I dealt with was extremely sharp, answered a couple of questions I had and was able to take my payment and arrange shipping all during the same phone call. She even spotted a discrepancy in my mailing address, that she corrected then and there. I will definitely be bidding with them in the future.
