Historically, they are the most expensive shipper on our list, however some clients will only use them. ** Please note: Each lot in our auction catalog has a shipping tab with information and a list of suggested shippers. They will gladly provide you with a quote befor bidding, allowing you to decide whether the shipping charges are acceptable. The shippers suggested are used by hundreds of clients each month. Thank you for your comments. Shown online, in the fourth image of this lot, I see a brace on the rear leg. Since you did not reach out to the gallery, I guess this is what you are referring to. Whether you bid with AAG or any other auction, asking for a condition report is always suggested (also listed in the terms and conditions of sale). This is because, most items offered are antique/vintage and display some form of wear, loss, or restoration. Each lot of our auction states that detailed reports are not included in the catalog, and to PLEASE ASK SELLER FOR A CONDITION REPORT. While we attempt to disclose all, we offer over 1 ********** lots per auction cataloged by five specialists. Sometimes, they are not able to see everything or miss something. That is why we are happy to provide reports with numerous additional photos in case something is missed or the condition is not in line with what a client is looking for (as thoughts on the condition of an antique item are often subjective). The catalog is posted for three full weeks before the auction event. We typically answer 200-400 questions per auction. Our jewelry offerings are carefully examined and often tested by a certified gemologist to ensure their authenticity and value. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, we have built a reputation for offering fine and quality items. Regarding the composition of 14kt gold (or 585), we want to clarify that it is not pure gold. Pure gold is too soft for jewelry making, so other metals (alloys) are added to make it more durable. 14kt gold is approximately 58 % gold and 42 % alloy, making it a popular jewelry choice.

I would like to clarify that AAG's buyer's premium is either in line with or lower than the premiums charged by many other auctions on Live Auctioneers. The details of the buyer's premium and shipping are included in each lot in several places. If you felt that the buyer's premium was too high, you could have factored that in while bidding or decided not to bid. Regarding shipping, AAG does not provide shipping services. To ensure transparency, this is stated in several places in each lot and in the terms when you register for the auction.
