Day One features fine jewelry, sterling silver, furniture, musical instruments, and decorative arts from prominent Michigan estates and private collections. Jewelry highlights are led by property from an Ann Arbor, MI private collector and include platinum aquamarine and diamond jewelry, a large aquamarine cocktail ring, an Edwardian diamond bracelet, and a Trisko Jewelry modernist necklace centered by a large tanzanite gemstone. Additional pieces include emerald, ruby, sapphire, diamond, and South Sea pearl necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, rings, and a Chopard diamond wristwatch.June 2026: Day Two
Day Two features fine art, sculpture, Asian decorative arts, fine art portfolios, and collectibles from important Michigan estates and private collections. The auction is highlighted by works from major 20th century artists, including three large-scale screenprints by Tom Wesselmann, alongside prints and works on paper by Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Fernand Léger, and Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The sale also includes a large selection of artist portfolios, with more than 30 lots featuring lithographs, screenprints, woodcuts, and illustrated editions by artists including Robert Motherwell, Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Faith Ringgold, and Betye Saar. John James Audubon collectors will find a limited edition complete elephant folio edition of The Birds of America published by Abbeville Press, while rare book collectors will find a first edition copy of James Doyle’s A Chronicle of England with a hand-painted fore-edge. Additional fine art highlights include Italian Baroque paintings, British and European landscapes, and a watercolor by John Rutherford Boyd exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. Highlights include carved coral Guanyin figures, jadeite plaques, rose quartz carvings, jade vessels, hardstone urns, and mounted decorative objects dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
