Wright and LAMA are honored to present Bakersfield Sound: Guitars from the Front Porch Music Collection, a June 5th auction celebrating the rich legacy of Artie Niesen, Front Porch Music, and the region's lasting contribution to American music. Featuring more than 150 historic guitars gathered across decades, this selection features storied models from makers including Gibson, Fender, and Mosrite of California, where Niesen himself worked prior to establishing Front Porch Music in 1978. Building on the history of Bakersfield-based country legends like Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, Front Porch Music operated for nearly 50 years and became home to Niesen's own collection of rare and vintage guitars. Many of these rare models were made in Bakersfield and have never left, until now—when they are proudly offered to future generations of musicians and music-lovers. Furniture As Described and Arrived in good shape
Wright Auction is amazing and they offer really good examples. The LiveAuctioneers shipping was a bit slow and but fine although I don't really like the use of peanuts for packing because they create a big mess and hassle. Perhaps air pillows would be a lot nicer for the environment and easier to manage.
