Litchfield Auctions' roots trace back to 'Weston Thorn Antiques' of the 1980's. The first auction was held in 1994 and since then Litchfield has sought to discover rare, unusual and exquisite art and objects to present at auction, hoping that you enjoy what you find.

The best auction house around
When we discovered Litchfield auctions about four years ago, it was like we died and went to heaven! There is not an auction that they have that I haven’t found some spectacular peace for my store or for my home. They are beyond professional, highly educated and provide the best bidding experience. When we get there to pick up our items it’s like going and visiting good friends. They go above and beyond to provide the best pictures and descriptions for their customers. I always bid with 100 % confidence on any of their items. I have never ever been disappointed. we drive about two hours and 20 minutes to pick up our items and it is worth every bit of the traffic hassle to get there lol. They always have such a wonderful catalog of things that really can appeal to almost any buyer. I particularly love marble top pieces and French furniture and they tend to have a lot of that along with gorgeous rugs. The thing is, you’ll never know what you’ll find so it’s always good to check them out often. if there was a best of live auctioneers award and I had the pleasure of awarding it, hands-down I would give it to Litchfield auctions every time!
