Condescending and terrible, irresponsible packaging practices. Packing peanuts were actively falling out of the box, and all the corners were damaged. Not to mention the tape was barely holding the box together. The auction house is condescending and unhelpful; you'll have to deal with all your shipping issues yourself.

I loved my pieces, however I didn't realize where in PA they were. PA is an hour away, but the eastern part was 4.5 hours. I called to find out shipping rates, and the amount (over $200) was greater than my bid prices! So I figured out the estimated gas cost to drive there at $60. As long as I could make the drive in a single day so I didn't have to drive at night, and not pay for a hotel room, it was do-able. I learned that I had to arrange a date and time in advance. We were in the midst of snowstorms all over NE Ohio in January. I picked the next day when it was not supposed to snow (January 21), which was 5 days in the future. So the trip there was good. I made it to my pickup early, and my items were waiting for me. I bid farewell to the nice people and headed home. When I reached the PA mountains, the snow started. It was very slow driving on the twisty roads for about 2 hours. There was very low visibility, and driving behind plows as well. By the Ohio border, the snow had stopped, but it was dark. I made it home by 8 pm. I hadn't figured the cost of the OH and PA Turnpike tolls, which was over $60 for the PA part alone. Total pickup cost was about $140, about half the cost of the shipping. Other auction houses that I deal with tell me to come pick up items within x amount of days. If Cordier did that, I would have picked a better day to go. The lack of pickup flexibility and the high cost of shipping are my only 2 complaints. Everything else about Cordier is fine.

The auction house did properly reveal condition even after asked prior to auction. They also did know much about the items they were auctioning. They would have to have something very compelling for me to consider bidding with them again. The UPS store I used, while expensive, expertly packed the fragile items I purchased.

Worst packing job I’ve ever seen, items damaged. All I asked of them was to apologize and acknowledge their terrible packing job and they just ignored me.

I appreciated how quickly the auction house contacted me following the end of the auction. While the in-house shipping was expensive, the items arrived in perfect condition (well protected in the packaging)

I'm a first-time buyer with Cordier Auctions. I now search auction houses that only offer in-house shipping due to Live Auctioneers 'very expensive shipping charges. Received my invoice quickly, so I can pay and get my item (s) quickly. It's a quick turnaround from payment to packing to shipping. I'm very happy that I added Cordier Auctions to my favorite list of auctioneers.

Some roughness to the rims, easily restored, one rim flake repair. Not fixable, but for the price, no complaints and one of the best packing I have seen in 30 years as a glass dealer.

My experience with Cordier was very positive. They shipped my books promptly and reimbursed me for the difference between estimated and actual shipping cost. The books were well described and arrived in excellent condition. I will definitely bid with them again.

When I bid on a set of vintage prints, I assumed I could get them shipped by the auction house; I was sadly mistaken. I contacted Cordier Auctions staff and was given several shipping contacts. I hit the jackpot: I used the UPS store recommended by Cordiers. The shippers went to the auction house, picked up the prints, packaged them very professionally, and sent them to me quickly and in perfect condition, all at a very reasonable price. Very happy!

It took only one week from time of purchase to receive my items. This is the only auction company that is this on the ball. I've been waiting on a different auction company for six weeks now. Very happy with their expediency. Plus, items arrived exactly as advertised.

I was worried about shipping a fragile set of china, but the packaging was absolutely wonderful. I was so impressed! For the amount of materials and labor involved, the price was very reasonable. And Cordier was very nice to deal with. Highly recommend!!
