"75 Classics" was only 61 total.-was charged $92 to mail 61 Classics Illustrated & 17 Heavy Metal mags. Media mail would have been $7 for the Classics, & at most $17.10 for a flat-rate box. Sent several messages & was told 3rd Co mailing is the cheapest around. What a joke. Waited 2 wks to get the bks. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN IF THEY USE 3RD CO SHIPPING. AVOID IF YOU CAN'T PICK UP YOUR STUFF!!!

I did not understand the bidding process... it looked like I bid against myself... but they were very kind to write it all down and show me how it wors.. and I did not bid against myself. Only issue I have with this auction house is the 15 minute window for pick-up. I live two and half hours away... with construction, accidents... I cannot guarantee being there within that 15 minutes.. so I had the items shipped... which was a little expensive in my opinion. But that was due to their shipper... not the auction house.

The bidding platform is LiveAuctioneers. I prefer HiBid. With HiBid I know exactly what time my it of interest will end. By using LiveAuctioneers, I have to sit for hours not knowing if my item will be up in 20 minutes or an hour and a half. Also the buyers premium is just plain greedy. For the most part I have stopped using Cordier. It's far less expensive to use other auctioneers. Same merchandise, better photos and descriptions and far less premiums.

Lots won were as described and in excellent condition. Traffic issues sometimes interferes with ability to arrive within the 15 minute grace period and MAYBE a phone call would be acceptable explaining circumstances, but I have never been denied my lots that have won. I do appreciate the 24 % vs. 25-27 % some auction houses charge. Varied and quality offerings. I do miss some of the employees that did work on the pick up days. They were outstanding!

Highly recommended auction house in the Central PA. Area! Very knowledgeable and honest. Descriptions are spot on and helpful. Photos are immaculate and detailed. I personally, have never had a bad experience with Cordier and I have purchased in both online auction as well as in person.

The starting bids on most items have risen dramatically over the past few months. Especially the artwork. Not as much fun to bid anymore. I can get similar items from auctions all over the country and even with shipping charges, they wind up being cheaper than what I would pay here.

I won three lots in their November auction totaling over $7000. Once I received the items I found one was missing, a necklace that cost me $3, 596 including the premium. Instead I received a bracelet that I had not bid on. Going back and reviewing the auction lots one by one I found that they had shipped me lot # 31 instead of lot # 13. Clearly a transposition error. The bracelet was valued higher than my necklace so I was tempted for a minute to just keep it, but sanity prevailed and I contacted Cordier to report the error. Their response was to tell me to ship it back to them. Now this involved a bit of bother to me as I had to go to a Going Postal office after packaging it up to have it shipped. They did not send me a prepaid shipping label and they said they would send me the correct item only once they received my return. Now clearly this was their error. Yet I had to trust them, yet they clearly didn't trust me? So I shipped it off via FedEx to then on 12/01 which was only a day or two after I received it. The package was delivered to them on 12/4. They sent my correct item to me on 12/15 (11 days later) via USPS and I received it on 12/16, almost 2 weeks after they received my return. Also there was no check included for the $49.88 I spent on postage to send the return to them. All in all I received my correct item over a month after the sale date and I did not receive reimbursement for my postage expense. No thank you from them for spending my time and detective work to unravel their problem and waste my more of my time driving around and waiting in line at Going Postal. I'm unhappy with how they handled this and found their business practices leaving me feeling of little value as a customer.

Wonderful auction house very delightful

This was my first time dealing with Cordier Auction. I have to say, Not your typical Auction House. After my successful bidding, I contacted the only Shipping company that was recommended by the Auction House for the shipping estimate. He did not want to give me the estimate after I gave him the full description of my item with the measurements of my desired insurance and the weight. He wanted to pick up my item and then give me an estimate. I decided to drive 2 hours to the Auction House and pick my item by myself. I also set up an appointment online and notified the auction company Not to give my item to the shipping company. Once I arrived at the Cordier Auction they told me my item was picked up by their shipping company even after I sent them an email and told them I will pick up my item personally. So I had to wait for the shipping company to deliver back my item to the auction company before I could pick up my item. Not Only did the Cordier Auction staff not apologize for their action, They were mad because I got to my online appointment 20 minutes earlier. Once I got home I found a deep scratch on my Lucite Frederick Hart Sculpture. The description said "No Condition Issue". Also, You have to pay for your items with wire transfer and not credit card if you are buying something more than $1, 000.00. Good Luck

Excellent Auction House-Responsive, Professional, and quick delivery!!

I have won quite a few lots from this auctioneer, as they are within driving distance and I can save on shipping costs by picking up at the auction house. On occasion I've even done a visual inspection of coins prior to the auction. Of greatest concern that other bidders should be made aware of regarding this particular auction house is that they routinely mishandle BU coins when processing coins through their system. Just a few examples of my experiences will be informative and illustrate this lack of respect to protect the quality of rare numismatic coins. A while back there was some nice looking high quality Morgan dollars being offered some as paired lots. Upon in house inspection, I pointed out that the flips have two pockets and the two lot Morgans could each have their own pocket and not be rubbing against one another by placing them together in the same pocket of the flip, which I did do after my visual inspection. Upon winning and pickup, the two coins were again placed on one side of flip thereby adding contact marks and diminishing value of item. Recently won a mix of BU nickels, a complete roll quantity of 40 which were placed in a sandwich type baggie, which for some insane reason this auction house prefers to dump the coins into and they then trash the roll tube or sleeve the coins were originally given into their care. Best advice is to only purchase BU coins from this auctioneer IF still protected by original government packaging. Or single coins, maybe. Any BU lots must be considered suspect as numerous occasions have provided damning evidence that there remains a lack of respect or concern within their in house handling that inevitably results in unwarranted damage or contact marks even after the in house photos are taken. I sure hope they up their game, as this disservice will hurt clientele on both the selling and buying sides and lackluster hammer prices and diminished bidding activity will become the norm. BEWARE!!

The listing said 8 dinner forks 7 1/2 , but only 2 were 7 1/2" and the rest were luncheon that measure 6 3/4 "
