the bidder didn't respond to the shipper for weeks and his item was about to be returned to us for no-response/shipping payment. You have to remember to arrange and [ ay for your shipping-it's not the auction houses fault.

I had zero frustrations with Liveshipping. He tried to complained to LA about the cost of shipping (that he already paid them upon checkout) of his purchase, but messaged the auction house by mistake. I saw this and reached out with an option of using freight delivery, whereby myself and another staff person blanket wrapped, boxed and palletized the chandelier for freight service, which was about $300 less. I also reached out to LA to facilitate a refund to his CC for the cost of Liveshipping-he said I was his hero! The pallet was picked up and I notified him same day and emailed him the invoice, which we had to pay upfront to the carrier. A day later he messaged the auction house that he has to cancel the purchase because he didn't want to pay the freight on an inexpensive item (no matter if it was $80, $800 or $8000, the freight cost is the same, give or take for insurance). I was upset thinking I'm out $600 because all my phone calls to him went straight to voicemail and I waited for a return call (there is a 3 hour diff) but he starts messaging me hours later. He's upset, I'm upset, and he hurls multiple profane insults. I tire of him and say he has the opportunity to do the right thing. Well, he paid the freight after calling me a "cr@ cKer-see you next tues" and said I must be a white trash republican from the south (I'm none of those). Now he's harassing and threatening me. This guy's cornbread ain't cooked in the middle!

This bidder showed up DURING the auction (we're closed during online live bidding and we told her this when she arrived) to pick up and pay for her item; we hadn't finished the auction or made invoices yet; we tried to turn her away but she was rude and demanding; we explained invoices hadn't been created yet but were accommodating. I contacted Livesupport and requested a refund to her card when I found out her credit card had been charged. It took LA a long time to refund her card. She and I had several phone conversations about this and emails between us and with LA support. We always respond quickly no matter what the situation and always try to make things right.
