The walnut mirror is fantastic. The miniature tea pot is great. the quality of the SW American rug is lower than anticipated. Not sure of its authenticity-closer to Mexican rugs/wall hangings.

I bid on two items described as vintage 20th century lamps somewhat impulsively and without doing my due diligence. Researching the items a bit more several days later (but still prior to the auction), a google lens search turned up the same style lamps listed on 1stdibs for very high prices. The casual observer might then conclude that this item is in fact quite valuable and worth bidding a lot on, but looking more closely, I saw that the items were in fact the very same lamps that I was bidding on (listed by the same auction house), cross-listed on a different platform. You might assume they were simply taking a stab at getting a better price on1stdibs.com prior to the auction, or it could be perceived as manipulating bidders into thinking the items are more valuable than they actually are. They were also described as "vintage 20th century lamps," but further searching on google revealed that they had been sold at Lowe's and Walmart in the presumably not-too-distant past. To be fair, the lamps were nice enough and probably worth what I paid, but I just felt that their tactics were a little deceptive. I will not be bidding with them again.

Great time bidding on items as a pastime and the pick up of wins is close and easy.

No one has communicated with me. I sent a dozen emails to Winfield Auction stating that I would pick the item up within the 60 day time frame permitted in its auction. I have cancelled the transaction with my credit card (AMEX) because Winfield tacked on an extra $350 for shipping I don't need. A month later I received a call from a Winfield Auction truck driver that the action item is being dropped off at my residence. No one will be at the residence for a week. I don't mind paying for the item I won, but I am not paying for a delivery fee I don't need when my nephew who lives 40 minutes away could have picked the item up. DMK

Great Auction House to work with.

While I can find the items I ourchased at other places, I still expect packing/shipping to be done with care. This was Not done be Winfield and their shipper. I chose in house shipping for convenience, and most of my past auction houses offering it take extra care packing antiques. Winfield acted like “ok, we have a good box, thats enough”!! He items I purchased were already old, and he throwing of packages by shipper personnel then caused additional damage in transit, that would have been avoided, if Winfield had thoroughly protected the items with bubble wrap/padding materials Inside the boxes And cases. Im going to have to really consider whether I want to chance bidding with them again, because picking up in person is Not an option at Long distance.

Ask for shipping quote before the auction. There are no other options for shipping in the vicinity. UPS stores will not pick up and they don't deliver to them. Tried to orchestrate pick up a number of times. No response to emails or phone messages.

The shipping charges are extremely reasonable. I asked prior to my purchase for a shipping quote and I was more than happy with the estimate and even better both delivery men were very professional. I would gladly buy from them again.
