Took forever to ship, item in worse condition than described
The sword was not packaged very well, part of it had broke through the side of the box. The description did not mention that a portion of the blade was cracked and nearly falling off. Took an an exception ally long time to ship. I would be reluctant to bid again on an item from this auctioneer.

This is the first I’m hearing of any issue. The item was described exactly how it is and there are great photos of the damage from set use.

Damaged by Hamlin
Won an original movie poster from Chris. When the packaged it the materials were fine. However after sliding the poster in the shipping tube he put unnecessary packing in the tube and rammed it down like you would black powder rifle. The edge of the poster was crushed by that action and can't be repaired. It can still be shown but the damage is obvious. They started with the, it's the shippers fault garbage but the package is not damaged and the cause is obvious. Yes I sent him multiple photos. He made a partial refund offer that I accepted. But they have not followed through with it. They have also ignored my last THREE emails inquiring about it. There's nothing I can do about it now because it's too late to file a claim. He stalled me long enough for that to happen. I paid more than the poster was worth but it has sentimental value to me so I did not mind that. That the damage is direct result of Hamlin's Auction House negligence and they intentionally scammed me is horrible. That Live Auctioneers let's houses capable of this sell through them makes me question me association with them too. If you do bidwith Hamlin's make sure to protect your interests somehow

In no way would we ever scam anyone. The poster was damaged in shipping it happens. The customer was given a partial refund for the damage.

Happy with items!
Happy with experience and items that I won on. Interface through LiveActioneers was unreliable, but once I contacted directly quickly set up shipping option and had item before I knew it. Items were described accurately.

1lb package cost $50 to ship packed very poorly item came all bent up and damaged very unhappy i will never buy here again do not recommend

First Time Customer's Honest Review
I recently took part in one "Hanlin's" Auctions, winning four Items in total. Although I've been collecting for over two decades, this was the first Hanlin's auction I've taken place in, and it left me blown away. The auction itself was perfect. This includes the items that were available, starting prices, and the auctions pacing. PERFECT. After the auction ended it didn't take long to get an invoice for the items won, and then followed by a shipping quote. The shipping prices were more than reasonable (keep in mind, one of my items was a sword). Now, was there a slight hick-up when I received my items? Yep. I had reached out to "Hanlin's" and they not only solved the issue, but kept in contact every step of the way. I think people forget life isn't perfect, mistakes can happen. I chose to not judge a mistake, but how it's handled. "Hanlin's" were complete professionals that showed nothing but kindness, responsiveness, and patience along the way. I wouldn't hesitate for even a second to do business with them again. Remember, a little patience and kindness goes far. Note: From one collector to another, auctions will have a "buyers premium." This is a certain percent that is added to the total amount you spend. This is an industry standard. Every auction I've ever participated in, here or anywhere else has had it. It is your responsibility as a buy to keep track of what you're spending, not the auction house or the seller. Example, If you spend $400 with a 25 % premium, your total will be $500 before shipping and any applicable tax. As far as "Hanlin's", even with the premium and fee's I paid, the total was far less for my items than if I purchased them anywhere else. Two of my items won, I had lost out on in the past on other platforms. Yet, I won theme here at a cheaper price. Another item won cost me 1/5 the price its listed as elsewhere. Again, I won't hesitate doing business with "Hanlin's" again and I look forward to participating in their next auction.

I Never Received the Items I Won and Paid Shipping For!
Beware of Hanlin's Auction House. I won over $300 worth of items and paid for shipping only to never receive them. And they-conveniently-didn't copy me on the tracking. (No reputable auction house would neglect to copy the recipient on shipping.) When I contacted the owner, I got a sob story about how he was short staffed and he was doing all of the work himself. Then, I never heard from him again. I wrote off the loss, but please don't get scammed like I did! BEWARE!!! Please read the reviews on Google as well. I'm not the only one who 'won' and never received their items.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIs AUCTION GROUP!!
At the beginning of august I bought this item for $375 (rounded to American funds it was $486.58) looked at my bank statement and it came up to over $600 in Canadian funds … Did not receive one email whatsoever about the shipping arrangements or when it would be arriving. I emailed and heard nothing. A week and a half later got an invoice that I paid (hoping that it was speeding up the delivery process) and I ended up paying $130, that was on august 18th it is now the 29th.. I’ve definitely been ripped off, don’t do what I did and buy anything from these people! They are thieves!

Never again
I will never purchase from Hanlins again. The worlds most expensive postage sent by the cheapest method possible, insurance didnt even cover the item. $25 for packing which was two crumpled bits of paper jammed in the usps box. Dont bother trying to contact them as you wont get an answer unless you open a paypal complaint. Item slightly damaged. I wish I had read the online reviews before purchasing.

This Auction House is excellent. Honest. Prompt.
Before you bid on any items in Live Auction's. Check the payment method. And Shipping information before you bid. I prefer an Auction House that has PayPal and Shipping on small Items done in house. But some do not. Read before you bid. Hanlin's is a excellent Auction House.
