Almost perfect in every way!
I have been a very satisfied repeat customer of Thousand Planet ("TP") for about four years, a number of auctions, and several hundred items, and I can hardly wait for the next auction! Everything from the accurate and informative lot descriptions to the packaging and shipping of your purchases is handled with the utmost care. They are very fast, too, and get your items shipped immediately after an auction. TP is also very responsive to any of my questions and message me right back. As a collector of certain things TP specializes in, their high level of service is greatly appreciated. In fact, I have to say that everything about TP is just about perfect! And thank you for all the wonderful things that I have bought in your auctions. Keep up the fantastic job you are doing.

The Chung Dzi beads are refinished, recently.
Be aware that the beads have been reground. the patina is lost, and the exterior is unsatisfactory.

Item never arrived
It’s been over 3 weeks since the auction and my item never arrived. Shipment tracking stopped updating 2 weeks ago. I contacted the auction house for help and did not get a response. I’m very disappointed and won’t be purchasing from their auctions in the future.

Affordable and Responsive
I love the items I have gotten even though I question their authenticity. I love the story behind them but I question why they don't include a written description when shipped. They already have made the claims on the description so it forces me to go back, find the item, copy the and invoice and then print them out when it should all be included. That said, the prices are well below what they should be for an authentic item. So it's buyer beware. I love the stories you have written already so this would be minimal additional effort. I greatly appreciate the prompt response as to my questions and that is great customer service.

Every item is sold as described in the listing, and we always aim for accuracy and transparency. As for including printed descriptions in the shipment, we appreciate your suggestion. We currently do not place printed catalog descriptions inside parcels to keep shipping costs low and avoid additional handling risks, but your comment is very helpful. So far, nice items with good service.
Received items in well packaged box. All items were nice and as shown, but with the exception of one item which was not the one ordered. A packaging error probably because of the similarity of the lot numbers. However, they have committed to making it right. So far, Thousand Planet have proven itself reliable.

As described but NO COA/provenance
While generally pleased with ThousandPlanet, I have more issues with LiveAuctioneers. They claim that they vet their sellers but there are zero reassurances by either LiveAuctioneers or ThousandPlanet that the products are authentic. There should be a more thorough vetting process.

SELLING FAKE TURQUOISE, and misrepresenting size and authenticity of items.
They are selling fake/cheap things and passing them off as authentic. I bought a stone amulet that is 1/16th the size depicted, a fraction of the size weight and value, and there's no way tis that old. Poor form.

We do not advertise turquoise or other materials as “natural” or “gem-certified” without testing, and no claim of mine origin or authenticity was made. Auction estimates are guidelines only; final prices are determined by open bidding. We encourage all bidders to carefully read listings and request clarification before bidding. Buyers Beware! Examine All Photos Carefully!!!
I received a ring and although the description said it was in very good condition, it was indeed missing a pearl. When I examined the photo afterwards, it did show a missing pearl (my bad), but the description by Thousand Planet said the following: "pearl inlays remain well-preserved and securely set." I don't know why an auction house would sell an item in poor condition in the first place, and not be honest about its condition in the description. Sadly, they lost me as a customer.

Absolutely Perfect.
The cylinder seal is absolutely as represented and exceeds my greatest expectations. I contacted Thousand Planets because delivery time seemed long, but the item arrived the next day. It takes along time to go from Thailand to Iowa. Great company to do business with, very responsive and easy.
