A great purchase happy with everything!

I have had several previous transactions with this gallery that were very accurate and pleasant. While there were some initial discrepancies regarding the description and condition on this specific order, the gallery was very professional once we connected. They provided a satisfactory resolution, proving they stand behind their items. I value their service and will certainly bid with them again.

This auction experience was excellent until I unpackaged and inspected the item. The invoice/payment were sent immediately, the shipping cost was extremely fair, and the packaging job with my item was very professional and honestly better than I expected, with a good amount of bubblewrap and protection included. Specifically, the item was listed as “framed,” but this apparently does not mean the frame has either glass/plexiglass/acrylic. The screen print is in a frame, but the matting/piece are loose in the frame because there is no protective glass (spacers may also be missing) and there are small glass shard remnants inside the frame from the broken/missing glass that was in the frame at some point. The listing does not state either glass or acrylic, simply that the screenprint was “framed,” and no mention the print is fully exposed, complete with worse-than-expected friction transfer damage and wear to several areas. The condition was listed as “Condition is as photographed,” which is lacking considering the now missing frame glass/remaining glass remnants, the loose matting/print in the frame, and the up-close photos taken that ignore any of the actual damage/imperfections on the print. If I am expected to use “condition is as photographed” as a baseline, some photos of the actual damaged/worn areas would have been helpful. This omission that a “framed” and matted screenprint is missing previously broken glass should included. I take responsibility for not emailing the auction house to get a full condition report prior to bidding, but should reasonably expect significant issues to be mentioned instead of assuming so. After 40 + auctions on LiveAuctioneers/elsewhere, this is the first time I have been unfavorably surprised by the condition of an item. It is unlikely I will purchase from Curated Gallery again, but if I or anyone else does: email for a full condition report and very carefully inspect all of the photographs and what is (or is not) stated.

Curated Gallery Auctions is one of the best auction houses on Live Auctioneers. Interesting, quality artworks, as described, packed well in house. I have purchased several times from this auction house and i will continue to buy from them. Thank you!

Got my item quickly and it was well packed.

My listing did not show product size, though the listing stated that it would show measurements in the photos. I reached out to the auction house, but never received response, and never was given updated photos in the listing. The ONLY indication of size was in the shipping description, which stated “weight 10 lbs”. This would imply that the product was quite large. When received, the total weight of the piece couldn’t have been more than two pounds MAXIMUM, and the piece was smaller than expected based on the shipping quote. Overall satisfied with the piece, but communication before, during, and after the auction could have swayed my decision to make the purchase.

Curated Auctions is an interesting, funky place which is getting an odd assortiment of paintings. I bought a frame through Live Auctioneers and I was surprised to find an extra fee-“Internet Fee”-on the invoice, and then came another fee from Live Auctioneers for shipping-which I had not asked for. I don’t like people who do business like that-presuming I want another service-and in the future I will bid direct with the auctioneer. Since I live in the same city as Curated, I just went over and collected the frame and saved $150.

I am happy happy happy and happy. I love my purchases.
