For over 40 years Mr. James S. “Jimmy” Mason was one of the leading antique dealers in the South and was well known for his impeccable good taste and expertise in furniture, paintings, silver, clocks, porcelain, china, statuary, oriental rugs and fine works of art. As many antique dealers often do, Mr. Mason always kept the finest pieces for his own collection. The executors of Mr. Mason’s estate recently appointed our gallery to sell at public auction this outstanding collection which we have moved to our gallery in Hixson (Chattanooga), Tennessee. In addition we will sell an outstanding group of sterling silver from the collection of Jere Hughlett of Chattanooga, Tennessee, andd a group of 40 oriental rugs and a fine consignment of exquisite jewelry.
