Quinn's Auction Galleries is proud to present a Folk Art Auction featuring a variety of works including pottery, wood carvings, metal sculptures, mixed media paintings, and works of renowned artists such as Clementine Hunter, Roy Ferdinand, and Dr. Bob. A selection of Louisiana and New Orleans artists such as Prophet Royal Robertson, Reginald Mitchell, and Cyril and Ivy Billiot. This auction includes many items from the collection of Betty-Carol Sellen and Martha Burt. Sellen, a librarian and a collector of Folk and Outsider Art, has authored and co-authored many books on the subject. She served on the Board of Directors for Art Enables in Washington D.C. and as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Folk Art Society of America. She was a recipient of the Folk Art Society?s Award of Distinction in 2002 for her work in the field.
