FULL PAYMENT: All items must be paid for in full within 5 days of receipt of invoice. Items paid for but not removed after 30 days will be forfeited. Nothing may be removed until it is paid for. Payment for purchases must be made by cash, credit card (Visa, MC & American Express), or check, personal or business, if approved by the Auctioneers. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL AS A FORM OF PAYMENT. All sales are subject to Virginia State Sales Tax laws. Bidder agrees not to stop payment on checks or disallow a sight draft and is responsible for any expense due to collection of bad check. Return check fee is $25.00. The Auctioneers reserve the right to repossess, at any time, at your location, the merchandise involved. 2. AUTHENTICITY: Quinn’s has made every effort to accurately describe and catalogue all property to be sold; note, however that coin grading & descriptions are extremely subjective. All major defects have been noted, along with comments on general overall condition. HOWEVER IT BEHOOVES THE SERIOUS BIDDER TO EXAMINE THE MERCHANDISE PERSONALLY when possible. Quinn’s assumes no risk, liability or responsibility for the identification or authenticity or authorship, of any property identified in its catalogues or lists of sale, except as stated in Paragraph 2a. The descriptions of items appearing in the auction catalog and any advertising prior to an auction are believed to be correct. Nevertheless, neither those descriptions nor any oral statements made by the Owner (or his agents or officers) or the Auctioneer (or his agents or officers) concerning any item shall be construed as a warranty, either expressed or implied. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any property at any time before the fall of the hammer in its sole and exclusive discretion. 2a. LIMITED WARANTY: If merchandise purchased is found to be substantially at odds with the condition as described, or if a coin can be proven not genuine, then it may be returned for full refund provided that the purchaser provides written notice detailing the reason for return within five days of receipt of property, and providing that the item is in the same condition as when sold. Any transaction (payment or return) must be completed within 30 days from sale date regardless of the date of receipt of merchandise. Buyers who have had the opportunity to examine the item before the sale will not be able to return merchandise, and lots described as having defects or faults may not be returned because of the described faults. No illustrated lot may be returned because of factors clearly evident in the illustrations. 3. RESERVES: In some cases items may be subject to reserve as indicated in the catalogue or by the auctioneer. The auctioneer and its representatives reserve the right to bid on behalf of the consignor up to, but not exceeding the reserve price. In certain instances, the Consignor may pay less than the standard commission rate where the Company or its representative is a successful bidder on behalf of the Consignor. Where the Consignor is indebted to the Company, the Company may have an interest in the offered lots and the proceeds therefrom other than the broker's Commissions, and all sales are subject to any such interest. 4. BUYERS' RESPONSIBILITY: After a Bidder has won the bid with his/her high bid, they have become the new owner of the item, even though they may not have paid for the item yet. We encourage buyers to insure their purchases during shipping, as merchandise purchased online is not covered by Quinn's & Waverly Auctions, and is the responsibility of the buyer. 5. DISPUTES: The Auctioneer shall designate the winning bidder after each item is auctioned. If a dispute arises between two or more bidders, the Auctioneer reserves the right to reopen the bidding. The Auctioneers' designation of a buyer is final. 6. INJURY AND DAMAGE: Bidder acknowledges responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by Bidder or his agent, and further agrees to hold Auctioneers harmless from any personal injury to himself or his Agents and any property damage incurred on auction premises. 7. AGENTS ONLY: The Auctioneers are acting as the Owners Agents only. 8. ESTIMATES: A range of estimates is given for each lot, with a low estimate and a high estimate. The estimates are merely guides for bidders and an opinion of the auctioneer or representatives of the price a lot might bring at auction. Estimates are based, where possible, on prices that similar items have sold for in the past. Estimates should not be relied on as a representation or prediction of the actual price a lot will be sold for. Actual selling prices could be significantly different from estimates. Quinn's Auction Galleries will not be liable if the actual selling price is different from the estimate. Estimates do not include the buyer's premium, any applicable taxes or other charges. 9. STORAGE: ITEMS NOT PAID AND SHIPPED OR PICKED UP WITHIN 7 DAYS FOLLOWING THE AUCTION WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $3.00 PER DAY STORAGE CHARGE. If items are not picked up within 30 days the item will become property of Quinnfs. No refunds will be made and the purchaser forfeits all rights to the item(s).

Grading: Quinn’s will use adjectives to grade uncirculated coins rather than rely on pure numbers. Please note the following:

• BU or “brilliant un-circulated” should be considered at least MS-60 and describes a coin that has no perceptible wear from circulation. There will be partial or full original mint luster and the coin may have contact marks.
• Choice BU should be the equivalent of MS-63 and signifies that there may still be contact marks but fewer than BU and less than full luster.
• Gem BU should equate to at least MS-65, implying an absolute minimum of contact marks and full original luster.

These descriptions represent our opinion only of the condition of the coin and are not a guarantee of condition and imply no warranty.

In the case of slabbed or encapsulated coins, we will use the numerical grading of the grading service. Please note that when outside reference materials & citations accompanying any lot have been provided, they have been done so at the opinion and discretion of the consignor and in no way imply a warranty.

The grading of coins can greatly affect their value, and the grading opinions of others may vary from ours on a particular coin. Such difference of opinion is not grounds for return of the lot. Lots are only returnable if a numismatic item is found to be substantially different from the description in the catalog.
