Our Auction gallery has been commissioned to sell an outstanding collection of antique furniture and works of art from the estate of the late Dr. William McAfee of Jackson, Tennessee. This collection includes a fine pair of American Hepplewhite mahogany demilune game tables and an exquisite 18th century Irish Chippendale mahogany tip table. In addition we will sell a collection of English and French furniture from the home of a prominent family in Atlanta, Georgia, an exceptional American Victorian tester bed from a private estate in Tampa, Florida and a fine 1908 Model, Kranich and Bach, Louis XV carved mahogany grand piano from the estate of Miss Treva A. Moore of Birmingham, Alabama. We will also sell a fabulous array of jewelry, including a platinum diamond necklace and a 5.11 ct. cushion cut diamond solitaire ring and a collection of 25 oriental rugs!

1. Advance bids in the mail or over the phone must be accompanied by a check for the full amount of the bid, or a valid Visa or Mastercard.
2. TERMS: Cash, or we will accept your personal or Company check accompanied by a current driver’s license or, a valid Visa or Mastercard. All purchases must be paid for the day of the sale. Out of state checks must have a bank letter of credit. All Dealers: We must have a copy of your current sales tax certificate or it will be necessary to charge the Tennessee sales tax.
3. All sales are final. Merchandise becomes the bidder’s property when the hammer falls and the auctioneer calls the bidder’s number.
4. While Northgate Gallery has endeavored to catalogue and describe the property correctly, all property is sold “as is,” and neither Northgate Gallery nor its consignor will be responsible for the description, genuineness, provenance, or condition of the property. No statement contained in the printed catalogue, online catalogue or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty or representation or an assumption of liability. Purchasers should satisfy themselves as to the condition, quality, and description before bidding.
5. Northgate Gallery reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time before the sale.
6. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion either to determine the successful bidder, in which event his determination shall be final, or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, Northgate Gallery’s sale record shall be conclusive as to who was the purchaser, the amount of the highest bid, and in all other respects.
7. If the auctioneer, in his sole and final discretion, decides that any original bid is not commensurate with the value of the article offered, or, having acknowledged an original bid, that any advance thereafter is not sufficient amount, he may reject the same.
8. Buyers must remove items purchased. Northgate Gallery will be happy to assist buyers in arranging the delivery or shipping of purchases at the buyer’s expense.
9. A.F. stands for “as found,” referring to condition.
10. A 15% buyer’s premium will be added as part of the purchase price for bidding online.
