Weschler's June 6 Gallery Auction Features Fine Furniture, Art, Silver, and Decorative Arts
Weschler's is pleased to offer a distinctive selection of antique and modern designer furniture, fine art, silver, porcelain, pewter, rugs, sculpture, and Asian works of art.
This curated sale spans centuries of design from Chippendale to George III, Baker to Biedermeier, Skovby to Southern Virginia Federal. Collectors and decorators alike will appreciate the broad range of styles on offer.
Fine art highlights include landscape oil paintings by Alfred Fontville De Bréanski, Richard Earle De Camp, and Heinie Hartwig; bronzes by Erté (Romain de Tirtoff) and Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau; and prints by iconic modernists Joan Miró and Salvador Dalí.
Other notable pieces include a Tiffany & Co. sterling silver tea service, porcelain by Meissen and Nymphenburg, and an array of distinctive pewter items, such as a rare 30-candle pewter and pine mold. In addition, a selection of French gilt carriage clocks from a single-owner will also be on the auction block.
Rounding out the sale is a selection of Asian works of art, including a finely carved and painted wood figure of Guanyin and more.
