The second part of our fall auctions features another eclectic offering nearly 600 lots of fresh to the market goods. Expect Arts and Crafts period oak furniture with many Stickley pieces, art and studio pottery, large lighting selection including many panel lamps, period lamp bases, Hammerton Studios chandeliers and decorative accessories from the period.
A rare offering of 22 original United States patent models, a large selection of antique furniture featuring an excellent bookcase secretary signed T. Timpson, a period swing leg drop leaf dining table with stylized dolphin foot and carved knees, a large selection of Biedermeier, a collection of country furnishings from an old Rosendale NY mountaintop cabin.
From a Sleepy Hollow estate comes a collection of train related material amassed by a German American typesetter whose interest spanned all aspects of the US train system. The collection includes a very large collection Baltimore and Ohio Railroad china, a collection of train related stereopticon cards, several lanterns, telegraph insulators, an Edison poster and Marklin, Lionel and KBN toy trains.
Artwork from many periods is led by a recently discovered pastoral scene by Aaron Draper Shattuck plus works by Arthur Kurtz, Romero Britto, Samuel Bell Waugh, Marcotte de Quivieres, Andrew Vargish, A. Maillol, Carole Kunstadt, E.L. Sumner, James Coignard, Fran Ferryman, John McClellan, George Parker, Steve Story (5), Judith Holt (6) and more.
Mid Century Modern includes a period Eames lounge and ottoman, swivel chairs, a pair of Sigurd Ressel "Falcon" chairs, 3 pieces Hamada Shoji studio pottery along with potters Margaret Israel, Hiroshi Nakayama and Carles Graham, wood works by Kelly Donn and Timothy Lydgate, an early Plycraft chair.
