AFTER DARK/SPRING 2026

Our AFTER DARK/SPRING auction features fine art from masters of the male form and many of the 20th century's most important artists. Artworks include: Joe Brainard (two paintings and one large finished graphite); Rex (a rare pen and ink and scarce hand-signed lithograph); The Hun (several important original artworks created for publication); MATT (Charles Kerbs) (original illustrations); John Dugdale (an unusually large and personalized cyanotype portrait of his friend, the Cuban-American guitarist Ariel Aparicio); Raymond Han (two exceptionally fine and intimate self-portraits); Tom of Finland (a scarce signed and numbered lithograph); very scarce Sam Steward drawings; MATT drawings (to be offered in collections); paintings by the WPA artist Lloyd Lozes Goff; Robert Gable pen and ink; and many exceptionally scarce pieces of queer ephemera, including a large 1980s photo album collection belonging to fashion designer Thierry Mugler and his partner Keith Dunhill documenting Dunhill's many parties and club venues; a Fred Halstead 8mm film reel; and many other once-in-a-lifetime and impossible-to-find items and artworks, most of which have not been available in decades. Mark your calendars for the live-streamed simulcast sale on April 23rd, 2026, at 7PM EST, and tune in to the video for exclusive commentary from our auctioneer.
