Hudson Valley Auctioneers will present an unreserved antique and estate auction on Monday April 13th at 5:00 PM EST. In house previews are Sunday April 12th from 1pm-5pm and Monday from 2:00pm-4:30 pm.
Several estates contributed to this month's offering; a large Saugerties generational collection, gold and silver jewelry from a Yonkers estate, the continuing offering of fine art and porcelain from a Mahopac collection and others from the Hudson Valley and beyond.
Several pieces of fine 20th century reproduction mahogany featuring a triple pedestal dining table with an assembled set of 12 shield chairs, a pair of servers, a fretwork bookcase secretary, and additionally a fine Modern Gothic tiled sideboard in Kimball and Cabus style, a 19th century rosewood Gothic Revival bookcase, an excellent inlaid Victorian center table, an important pair of mounted carved game bird trophies signed A. (Alexander) Pope as well as assorted country.
A collection of Japanese Meiji cloisonne, fine Chinese porcelains and furniture, several semi antique Persian carpets, a fine selection 18th and 19th porcelains by Meissen, Dresden, Sevres, KPM, an extensive collection gold, silver and costume jewelry, a large offering of estate sterling flatware and hollowware, Tiffany and Webb art glass, American Brilliant cut glass, a collection of American art pottery and several fine clocks and bronzes.
Mid Century items include a mint condition Plycraft Eames style chair, 10 oils by Robert Boernstein, a large William MacDonough abstract, 2 Dorothea Charol porcelains ca 1920, a fine Rya rug, a Kaiser Leuchten chandelier, an Arhaus Divya inlaid desk and other items from the period.
Another selection of art will include works by Payla Celesztin, Bela Jusko, Lucien Besche, Katona Nandor and many others. Multiples by Reginald Marsh, Dame Laura Knight, Birger Sandzen, Whistler and Picasso are representing this group, in addition several old master oils will be included.
