The Eclectic Collector

The Eclectic Collector auction offers something for everyone - from fine art and fine jewelry to funky furniture and unique decorative pieces.

Traditional artwork included in this auction include: several oil on canvas paintings depicting cows; three oil paintings depicting horses by James Loder of Bath, Henry Bernard Chalon, and George Jackson; a 1902 watercolor seascape by Hudson River School painter Edmund Darch Lewis; and several oil still life paintings and landscapes. Artwork by more modern artists includes an oil on canvas still life by Hughie Lee-Smith, three oil on canvas paintings by Walter Speck, works by Charles Culver, and a large oil on canvas waterlily painting by Lucille Nawara.

Several abstract and mid-century prints will be up for auction, including a triptych by Julie Le Parc from "La Longue Marche" series, three prints by Larry Zox, a lithograph by Karel Appel, two Agamographs by Yaacov Agam, two Alexander Calder lithographs, a screenprint by Victor Vasarely, and other geometric and colorful prints.

Furniture highlights include a pair of chests by Paul McCobb for Calvin, a Charles Hollis Jones "Le Dome" dining table, a set of eight "Tucroma" chairs by i4 Mariani/Pace, a "Tete-a-Tete" daybed in the style of Dunbar, a pair of Harvey Probber hexagonal side tables, and several other pieces by George Nelson, Bill Stephens, Russell Woodard, Heywood-Wakefield, Baker, Charles and Ray Eames, among others.

A delightful collection of jewelry rounds out the auction with an 18k yellow gold Verdura snake necklace, several 14k yellow gold charm bracelets, a 14k yellow gold jade and diamond disc bracelet, an 18k yellow gold ribbed design bangle bracelet, a Leo Pizzo 18k white gold "Dew Drop" necklace, a 15k shamrock pendant necklace from 1904, a David Yurman cable collar and enhancer, and three pieces of hunt-themed reverse-painted glass 14k yellow gold bracelets and brooch.
