Our 24 June Design for the Home & Garden auction includes more than 250 lots featuring Property from the Collection of Ben Nysewander, Carmel, California. A broad selection of fine silver, jewelry and watches is highlighted by a rare 17th century Augsburg travel cutlery set, a selection of stirrup cups, Continental gold boxes, gemstone pieces and Rolex and other watches. The Collection of Ben Nysewander features European works of art including rare ecclesiastic and liturgical pieces as well as a selection of Black Forest furniture and decorations. Furniture highlights include an impressive English Aesthetic Movement buffet by Gillow & Co and a Louis XVI style bureau plat by Beurdeley. Also on offer a select group of Asian works featuring a massive Chinese blue and white porcelain Soldier vase and an exquisite Japanese maki-e lacquer Shodana cabinet. The sale also includes fine art by Edouard Cortes, George Ernstson, Solomon Garf, Winslow Homer, Mel Kendrick, Robert Mangold, John Piper, Granville Redmond, Leroy Setziol, Kimber Smith, Andy Warhol, Francisco Zuniga and more.
