Summer Estates & Collections | Day 2

Ahlers & Ogletree is pleased to present our Summer Estates & Collections Auction, featuring more than 700 lots of fine art, period furniture, decorative arts, Asian works of art, rugs, silver, and fine crystal from private collections and estates. The sale is anchored by Hermon Atkins MacNeil's monumental patinated bronze The Sun Vow, Daniel Ridgway Knight's 1921 oil on canvas, and Harry Andrew Jackson's American Western bronze, Pony Express. Additional fine art offerings include works by James Roy Hopkins, Paul de Longpre, and Robert Lee "Bob" Robertson, complemented by American and European paintings, prints, sculpture, and works on paper dating from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Furniture highlights include English, French, and Continental antiques ranging from a signed Francois Linke ormolu-mounted marquetry pedestal and a George III mahogany chest-on-chest to Regence-style marble-top commodes, dining tables, and finely crafted case pieces that display European craftsmanship. This auction also presents a diverse selection of decorative arts and collectibles, including hand knotted Persian Heriz, Sarouk, Turkish Oushak, and Chinese Art Deco rugs; Steinway & Sons baby grand pianos; and silver & gold collectible coins. Additional offerings include decorative objects by Baccarat, Waterford stemware, Cartier crystal, Tiffany & Co. barware, and works by other celebrated European and American makers.
