This exciting sale brings together a diverse selection of antique arms, armour, edged weapons, firearms, military objects, and ethnographic material from Europe, Asia, the Islamic world, Africa, and the Americas.

Highlights include European helmets, breastplates, gauntlets, tassets, polearms, early swords and daggers, Viking-period iron weapons, military sabres, and historic firearms ranging from flintlock and percussion pistols to muskets, carbines, swivel guns, and cased pistol sets.

A major section is devoted to Indian and Indo-Persian arms and armour, including koftgari helmets, dhal shields, tulwars, katars, pata swords, axes, war hammers, and richly decorated daggers. Ottoman, Persian, Moroccan, and North African arms are also represented.

The Asian section features Japanese katana, wakizashi, military swords, tsuba, samurai armour, and related objects, together with important Korean, Chinese, Philippine, Moro, T'boli, Dayak, Balinese, Burmese, and Southeast Asian weapons.
