In March, Wright presents Design, a twice yearly sale illustrating the spectrum of periods and styles of 20th century decor. This auction will feature French, Italian, Scandinavian and American design classics ranging from a finely detailed display cabinet by Gio Ponti to a beautiful set of six PK 11 dining chairs by Poul Kjaerholm. Rare designs by Pierre Jeanneret including a sofa and lounge chair from Chandigarh illustrate the finesse of French design filtered through an Indian sensibility. Two monumental turned bowls by Ed Moulthrop reflect the fine skill and natural material of the American Craft movement. Finally, a custom interior by Gabriella Crespi rounds out the sale with chic tables in brass and lacquer alongside numerous furniture and accessories by the celebrated designer that come to auction from the owner.
