This October, Wright presents the latest installation of Design, a highly anticipated sale celebrating the best of 20th century decorative arts. This auction will feature French, Italian, Scandinavian and American classics alongside an impressive selection of Brazilian design, including works by Sergio Rodrigues, Joaquim Tenreiro, José Zanine Caldas and Roberto Burle Marx. A standout selection by Jules Leleu and Jean Prouvé will also be offered from the collection of famed architect Robert A.M. Stern, as well as several works by the late Vladimir Kagan. Other notable items include a pair of Rudder stools by Isamu Noguchi, exquisite wingback chairs by Gio Ponti, several works in welded metal by Paul Evans and a selection of sculptures by Leo Amino. This sale also presents a varied collection of lively works in carved relief by the American artist Stan Dann.
