If you don't have experts in accessories, please discontinue this category, as there is a batch of counterfeit items. I won a collection of accessories at the auction house, labeled as Trifari and Coro. Upon receiving them, I found that almost all the Trifari and Coro pieces were fake. I immediately contacted the auction house, but they did not respond at all. I then had to reach out to LiveAuctioneers, and through them, I got in touch with Alderfer Auction. Their response was simply: "We do not have experts in accessories; please judge for yourself." Given that these items bearing Trifari labels are high-value pieces worth over $1, 000 each, the auction house provided a perfunctory response, essentially conveying an attitude of "we don’t know and won’t take responsibility." This is an untrustworthy auction house. I have attached screenshots of the relevant conversation here.

The entire experience was as smooth and easy as it could be. Every question I had was answered promptly and working with them after auction was a pleasure. I believe they used a third-party shipper to handle that part but, while a tad pricey, it was the absolute best packaging job I have ever seen-beyond my own, of course:)

This was my first experience with Alderfer Auctions and it was positive across the board. The three items I won were exactly as described, packaged very well and shipped out promptly. Absolutely nothing to complain about. I will be watching for future Alderfer Auctions, that's for sure.

Alderfer Auction is a superb auction company that has proved itself over many decades.

Do not bid unless you are able to physically see item yourself, you cannot depend on their descriptions, they omit damage/defects even if you specifically ask about things. It's in the fine print of their sales agreement that they are not responsible for inaccurate descriptions, read it, it's there, they depend on that to get away with taking advantage of online bidders. No item that they may be selling is worth the risk of you not getting what you think you're getting. They are not honest, and honesty is essential for successful online bidding, it eludes them. I am surprised that Liveauctioneers allows them to use their platform. Because of Alderfer I have curtailed any online bidding with Liveauctioneers. They are still not, after a couple of years, owning up to this gross oversight and are unapologetic and try to falsely discredit my experience with them. It's the worst online auction experience I've ever had. If other auction houses operated like them, online bidding would not be feasible. I do not enjoy leaving reviews like this and had a horrible experience with them, I'm just trying to warn others. Stay away from this auction house.
