With around 670 selected items from the history of 20th- and 21st-century design, Quittenbaum Art Auctions invites you to this years fall auction on October 13. The auction kicks off with the colorful designs of Italian designer Gaetano Pesce. With 15 designs, Munich-based lighting designer Ingo Maurer is prominently represented in German postwar design. Two lamps from the 'Uchiwa' series are in particularly fine condition: a large 'Ju-Yon' ceiling lamp (Cat. No. 209) with 14 rice-paper panels and a 'Hana I' (Cat. No. 210) are each estimated at EUR 6,000. For the 1995 Triennale di Milano, Ron Arad designed the multi-part installation '38 Tables,' in which 38 tables of various sizes and shapes were arranged in a giant spiral. Catalog number 624 corresponds to number 9 from the first edition exhibited in Milan. This impressive table, made of polished stainless steel, is offered with an estimated price of EUR 12,000 to 20,000.
